Born in 1982 in Manzanillo, Cuba, artist Darwin Estacio Martinez honed his artistic skills at the Professional Academy of Fine Arts "El Alba" in Holguin, and furthered his education at the prestigious Higher Institute of Arts in Havana. Martinez creates original oil paintings that captivate with their cropped portraiture, flattened forms, and seductive emotional detachment. His artistic style seamlessly blends elements of Pop Art with Minimalism, resulting in captivating compositions that focus on the essential details up close.
