About
This square abstract mixed media artwork on canvas by Togolese artist Kodjovi features an energetic composition dominated by a large field of bright turquoise paint. Positioned diagonally across the center is a loose oval form drawn with a thick, textured line of reddish-brown pastel or oil stick. Inside this oval, rapid strokes of lime green, yellow, and blue paint blend together, creating a sense of movement across the canvas.
The bright turquoise field covers the right and lower portions of the piece, contrasting with a dark gray and beige textured area that runs along the left edge and bottom corner. Fine, thin cream-colored lines cut diagonally through the central oval, adding layered depth. Rough, physical paint textures are visible throughout the composition, particularly where the dark and bright colors meet at the borders.
This 40-inch square mixed media painting is signed by Kodjovi on the back of the canvas. The many layers in his work further emphasize the texture and visceral nature of his canvases. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and global shipping. A Certificate of Authenticity issued by the gallery is included.
