About
Sally K’s floral paintings on paper explore the expressive possibilities of color, gesture, and organic form. Recognizable blossoms merge with abstract passages, creating compositions that feel both spontaneous and thoughtfully balanced. Rather than describing flowers with botanical precision, Sally interprets their shapes and rhythms through loose brushwork and unexpected color relationships. Delicate forms meet expressive marks, balancing softness with a confident painterly energy.

Their unfolding forms suggest growth and resilience, leaving room for each viewer’s own associations.
Sally draws inspiration from photography, pop culture, and fashion as well as artists ranging from the pop art of Willem de Kooning and Jackson Pollock to the gilded florals and figures of Gustav Klimt.
