About
This square abstract mixed media artwork on canvas by Togolese artist Kodjovi features an energetic, layered composition set against a solid field of vibrant green paint. Thickly applied with a rough, bumpy texture, the green background dominates the upper two-thirds of the canvas. In the lower-center section, a cluster of heavy, horizontal palette knife strokes in primary red, bright orange, and stark white layer over one another, accented by small underlying hints of yellow.
Running along the bottom edge is a dark, multi-colored border composed of deep purple, black, and beige tones. Just above this border, loose and fluid white graffiti-like markings and abstract scribbles are scratched into the paint, adding a graphic element to the piece. Tiny flecks of purple, yellow, and white paint are also scattered near the very top edge, revealing hints of the artwork's layered construction.
The artwork is signed by the artist on the back of the canvas, comes wired, and is ready for hanging. A gallery Certificate of Authenticity is provided with the painting. Convenient local delivery is available in the Los Angeles area, and affordable shipping is available across the United States and internationally.
