German sculptor Nando Kallweit produces figurative bronze sculptures and reliefs with aquiline and a graceful modern appeal. Kallweit is inspired by seemingly disparate cultures; the strength of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the dynamic forms of the modern Cubist movement, and an observation of our contemporary and future existence. Combined with a considerate approach, Kallweit renders archaic materials, such as blackened oak and bronze, with a palpable sensitivity. These forms are varied tirelessly in his creations. This 7 inch tall and 11 inch wide unique figurative bronze sculpture is created as a limited bronze edition: 11/25. This sculpture can be placed on any flat surface. Kallweit's unique sculptures can also be grouped to create a harmonious display. Affordable local Los Angeles area delivery, as well as Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping, is available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Close observation of each piece leads to the discovery of unexpected details that convey emotional robustness. Kallweit moves continuously while creating his sculptures. He works with an intensity and energy that he must balance with a sensitive and considerate approach. Kallweit’s work is permeated by a longing for the unknown, for the elusive, the divine, and the spiritual. The visual impact of his metal sculptures leaves a deep impression on the viewer. After completing engineering school in Germany, Kallweit began a successful career as a freelance sculptor. He currently lives in Essen, Germany. His work has since become coveted for public installations and private collections alike internationally.

Nando Kallweit is a renowned German sculptor who specializes in creating unique sculptures using bronze and oak. His passion for sculpting began at a young age when he was inspired by a bust of Nefertiti that he saw in the Egyptian Museum of Berlin. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, Kallweit was able to travel to Egypt and see his inspiration in person, which fueled his passion for sculpting even more.
Kallweit uses the “lost wax process” to create his sculptures, which involves creating a cast and pouring bronze into it. This technique allows Kallweit to create intricate and finely detailed sculptures in both large and small scales and has created installations that are fully immersive.
The sculptor is inspired by seemingly disparate cultures. The strength of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the dynamic forms of the modern Cubist movement, and an observation of contemporary life are all seen in aspects of his sculptures. Combined with a considerate approach, Kallweit renders archaic materials, such as blackened oak and bronze, with a palpable sensitivity.
Kallweit's work has been exhibited across Europe and the United States, and his sculptures can be found in several permanent collections.
