Commission Ekaterina Ermilkina to create a custom made artwork based on this artwork
Ekaterina Ermilkina’s original, abstract fine art paintings are created using a skillful combination of applying and removing oil paint with a palette knife on canvas. Her inspirations are the skylines of big cities like Manhattan, Philadelphia, or Chicago filled with colorful skyscrapers. The urban, scenic views are abstracted and rich with vivid and textured layers. Ermilkina’s emotional architectural patchwork and mosaic cityscapes radiate a life of balance and positive energy.Ermilkina carefully adds thick cube-like dots of oil paint with a palette knife in distinct patterns onto the surface, adding an intricate three-dimensional texture to her oil paintings. The color spots partially blend into a fuller range of background tones and give the artworks a significant depth. • One-of-a-kind textured, triptych painting measuring 36 inches high and 84 inches wide• Created using oil on canvas• Wired and ready to hang• Painted on all sides• Signed by the artist on the frontErmilkina grew up in the beautiful city of Yalta on the North coast of the Black Sea. Ekaterina Ermilkina (b. 1975) is a contemporary oil painter known for her vibrant abstract cityscapes, where architectural forms emerge through intricate patterns of color and texture. Raised along the Black Sea coast, she developed an early appreciation for the visual character of urban environments. She earned her Master of Fine Arts from the State Art and Industry Academy in Saint Petersburg in 1998 before relocating to the United States in 2005. Based in New Jersey, Ermilkina continues to explore the relationship between architecture, perception, and the emotional experience of city life.
Working primarily with oil paint on canvas, Ermilkina employs a palette knife to apply and selectively remove pigment, building dense surfaces of small, geometric marks. Her labor-intensive technique produces richly textured paintings in which color operates both independently and collectively. Ermilkina's works have been featured in exhibitions in galleries and art fairs worldwide and have been collected throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, and UAE. Notable collectors include Kelly Clarkson, Los Angeles, CA.
