Edith Konrad
Swiss artist Edith Konrad creates figurative abstract paintings in which spectral forms emerge from dark, muted environments punctuated by vivid color. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, collage, and mixed media, she layers line, texture, and translucent color to create depth, balance, and a shifting relationship between figure and ground.
Konrad’s work has been exhibited internationally at art fairs in Geneva, Salzburg, Rotterdam, Marbella, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Paris. Her artwork is held by the State Museum in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received the Palm Art Award in 2009 and exhibited at the Salon de la Culture at the Louvre in Paris in 2010.
