Nebraka-based Jamie Burmeister is a sculptural artist known for his original artworks incorporating original small bronze figures, standing at just up to 4 inches tall. His unique figurative sculptural works have been showcased in galleries, museums, and public art installations worldwide, including notable venues like the Joslyn Art Museum and the Des Moines Art Center. Burmeister's work explores the human experience through humor and absurdity, with a recent focus on incorporating color, which he finds both challenging and inspiring. A recipient of multiple awards, including the 2016 Governor’s Art Awards Outstanding Artist, Burmeister earned his M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska in 2005.
