About

Phillipé Ducasse creates original artworks on canvas using ink to create fine lines and intricate details on a background of flowing acrylic paint. His works intrigue with architecture and the relationship with the survivalist tendencies of flora and natural landscapes. Phillipé magnifies diversity and interest in ordinary subject matter to “make people look a little closer,” a sentiment he uses to suggest the effects of a diminishing attention-span in the times of “fast” culture.

This energetic, colorful painting is 48 inches high by 36 inches wide. The sides are painted with metallic gold and it does not require framing. It is wired and ready to hang. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.

Born in Columbus, GA, and attending art school in Atlanta, he was never exposed to the true possibilities of a career as a fine artist. His family didn’t visit museums, art shows, art fairs, or galleries. His Mother’s main objective as a single parent was to do everything she could to help steer him to a successful future. Innately he was drawn to create a series of paintings contemplating the meaning of "Home". “The beauty of Humanity can be more evident when studying our resourcefulness and ingenuity under various circumstances. I love the aesthetic of hillside African, Central, and South American living settlements, often referred to as "favelas" in Brazil. With these paintings, I want to attack that subject matter with a sense of structure, adaptivity, and coexistence. I entitled the series "beautifuL sLum" with emphasis on the "L" in both words to express "Love of Life".

Ducasse's works have been exhibited at Artspace Warehouse since 2020.
