About

Excellence through detailed placements and innovative material use are what make Richard Lee’s three-dimensional artworks so intriguing.

The creation of his “Beautiful Liquid” series arose through many painstaking trials focused on creating the greatest visual impact using only colored liquids. Every single artwork is an accumulation of several hundred thousand of colorful liquid drops filled in small transparent containers. Using this medium, Lee creates distinctive colors and visuals which cannot be replicated in paint or on screen. This ethereal effect of the water is amplified as his design concepts and inspirations take form while he is in a meditative state.

This unique three dimensional mixed media painting made of glass bottles filled with colored liquid is 46 inch tall by 35 inch wide and 2.5 inch deep. It is framed with a modern transparent acrylic frame. The price and size include the frame. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable US and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included.

Richard Lee’s artworks are fluid and allow for movement. The combination of lighter and heavier materials creates a balance which cannot be achieved by any conventional medium. In conjunction with Lee’s mastery of his unique style, each artwork manages to simultaneously be aesthetically pleasing and curiosity inspiring.

Lee’s “Skull Series” is vividly described as “soft sculpture” due to its outstanding feature of dynamic shapes instead of conventional solid sculptures. Using clinical brain CT data scanned from a human skull as a geometric dimensional reference, each artwork is exquisitely completed by hand using materials including stainless steel, artificial crystal, acrylic, fishing lines, as well as other modern mediums.
