About
Alexander Reagan gravitates towards large scale mixed media compositions, often incorporating print, graffiti, and textual elements. Influenced by contemporary street art – as well as his creative heroes Jean-Michel Basquiat and Robert Rauschenberg – Reagan is known for his improvised approach to art. His paintings take us on a spontaneous journey where he shares his creative visions with the observer.
This one-of-a-kind 38 inches high by 25 inches wide vertical painting is an urban-inspired abstract composition on canvas. It is wired and ready to hang. It does not require framing. It is signed and dated by the artist on the front and back of the artwork.

Alex Reagan is an emerging artist and eco-fashion designer based in Venice, California. Self-taught, Alex Reagan spent his formative years in Aspen, Colorado, experimenting with materials in his makeshift home studio. Valuing eco-friendly fashion and the revitalization of common materials, Regan uses a juxtaposition of street wear, pop culture, and elevated materials to create characters drowning in fashion. His canvases burst with unbridled dynamism, or as he likes to say, “controlled chaos,” indicative of the pop culture and social media driven world we live in.
The backgrounds of his compositions emulate the grittiness of graffiti art, while his foregrounds play with the notions of pop and contemporary street art. The play between magazine images, expressive drawing, and his organic use of spray paint is reminiscent of the evolution of street style and self-referential aesthetics.
