Richard Lee

Excellence through detailed placements and innovative material use are what make Richard Lee’s three-dimensional artworks so intriguing. The creation of his “Beautiful Liquid” series arose through many painstaking trials focused on creating the greatest visual impact using only colored liquids. Every single artwork is an accumulation of several hundred thousand of colorful liquid drops filled in small transparent containers.

Lee’s “Skull Series” is vividly described as “soft sculpture” due to its outstanding feature of dynamic shapes instead of conventional solid sculptures. Using clinical brain CT data scanned from a human skull as a geometric dimensional reference, each artwork is exquisitely completed by hand using materials including stainless steel, artificial crystal, acrylic, fishing lines, as well as other modern mediums.
